Subject: Is it live or is it Aquarius?
This is a very high energy show with some truly funky bass work from Rob, the substitute bass player. This recording captures the magic in some ways better than having been there. The Aquarius is a refurbished warehouse space--very wide open but with a low ceiling--giving it some kinda wonky acoustics. Amazingly, Capn Hook has managed to clean most of that up and come up with a recording that, to my ears at least, sounds a bit better than I remember it sounding when I was there. This one's definitely a keeper.

I was a little nervous in taping HGTR at the Blind Tiger that same night that no one would tape this show in High Point. How foolish! Sounds great, thanks for the work.

I normally wouldn't review my own recording, but I'm only 1/4 of this one.

This sounds damn fine, much better than any one of the three sources I've heard alone. Good work on the mix, capn. You gotta show me some stuff sometime.
